HELPING IN SIERRA LEONE
In 2024 we’re returning to Sierra Leone to improve the lives of local youth through sports. We’re helping the only surf school in the country in Bureh Beach. We are also assisting a grass roots boxing school in the town of Rokel.
BUREH BEACH SURF SCHOOL: This amazing place was set up by orphans who shared a passion for the ocean and surfing. Today they teach local kids to live in harmony with the the ocean. They offer free surf and swimming lessons to locals. At the time of our visit they had no proper surfboards. All of them were broken, chipped or dented. Help us gather as many surfboards by donating money or surfboards.
ROKEL KIDS BOXING ACADEMY was launched in a poor neighborhood of Rokel to teach kids boxing after school. This boxing school has a dedicated teacher, passionate students, but very little equipment. There is one sandbag and a few pairs of kids gloves. The boxing ring is drawn with chalk on the ground. Help us furnish the boxing school. Help us build a ring, bring gloves and safety equipment for every boy and girl.
